Reading Friends and Family Day Fair

Reading Friends and Family Day (RFFD), also known as Town Day, is an annual celebration of Reading and brings the community together for a day full of fun events enjoyed by all ages.  Community members come for the food, crafts, games, giveaways and music and it's all free! Special events include a morning Kids Fun Run and an evening Friends of Reading Recreation Fireworks show! 
REGISTRATION
Registration is now open for local organizations, businesses and Town Departments to set up a booth at RFFD. Deadline to register is May 23.

Retinal Photography Program

Wednesdays, 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
Wakefield Senior Center

 
The Wakefield Senior Center, with the support of Massachusetts Lions, is pleased to offer free retinal screenings. Using a specialized digital camera, we can capture high-quality images of the retina and optic nerve without the need for dilating eye drops. These screenings help detect treatable conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. Following your session, dıgital images will be emailed to you (or a designated contact to share with your ophthalmologist or primary care physician for medical interpretauon. Inis service is open to anyone age 5 & over. Appointment required, call 245-3312 to book. Imaging done by Michael Sandberg, PhD, Associate Professor of Ohpthalmology (retired).
