Golf Tournament: It is a fund raising event held the last Monday of August at the Sky Meadow Country Club, Nashua, NH. Precede from this event goes to Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund (MLERF) and other organizations/individuals supported by Lions Club.
Road Race: 5K Road race in Reading, MA is a fund raising event. Usually held in May. Proceeds from this event goes to Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund (MLERF)
Journey for Sight Program Funds raised from Golf tournament and Road Race goes directly to “Journey for Sight” program of the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research fund, Inc. (MLERF). So far Reading Lions donated over $173,899.00, an impressive amount for a small club.

Since 2004, The Reading Lions Club has sponsored and organized Reading Friends and Family Day (RFFD). RFFD brings the community together for fun events enjoyed by all ages. You will find lots of food, crafts, games, giveaways and entertainment! RFFD is a celebration of Reading and offers the community an opportunity to find out about local organizations, town government and businesses.
Over the past six years RFFD has more than doubled the amount of presenters and participants! Major sponsors now include Friends of Reading Recreation.
It is focused on community activities and partly a fund raising event usually held at the end of June and devoted to encourage community interactions providing an opportunity to spend the day with friends and family enjoying fun activities organized by the Lions committee where the entire town is involved.Over 80 organizations and businesses participate in the event to display their products.Food and beverages are available, and carnival or similar recreations and sports activities are planned for the day.

Casino Trip: A fund raising activity organized twice a year to take participants on a bus trip to Mohegan Sun
Student Scholarship: Offering Scholarship on a need basis to Reading Memorial High School seniors going to College
State Band Sponsorship: Sponsors one student of Reading Memorial High School to participate at the Massachusetts State band
Adopt a Family: To adopt families during the holidays to offer gifts and dinner during Thanksgiving and Christmas
Senior Dinner: To prepare and serve dinner to senior citizens of Reading
Food Pantry: Donates canned food items to Reading food pantry throughout the year
Visual Aids: To provide eye examination, diagnosis, eye glasses, and CC TV or high-tech visual aids for free to individuals with severely impaired vision.
